Micron Machinery Co., Ltd. exhibited the MIG-101U internal grinder at the 2008 Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF 2008). The MIG-101U is an ultra high performance, ultra precision, compact cylindrical internal grinder that can machine components on the submicron order.
Consider for example the internal grinding of diesel fuel injection components. This grinder is equipped with a hydrostatic table that was newly developed for the grinding wheel spindle and features linear drive to improve the table speed. This improvement is achieved even while continuously composite machining the cylindrical interior faces, seat faces, and end faces of fuel injector components with the multiple grinding wheel spindles and one chuck and one spindle. As a result, machining quality on a submicron precision level is achieved, and the time that it takes to machine components is significantly reduced.
